Vilnius Commemorates 105th Anniversary of Lithuanian Military
Vilnius is gearing up for an impressive parade commemorating the 105th anniversary of the Lithuanian Armed Forces. The event, featuring over 1400 soldiers and a display of more than 100 military units, emphasizes unity with NATO allies and showcases advanced military equipment.
General Valdemaras Rupšys highlights the parade’s message of strength to adversaries and safety assurance to citizens. President Gitanas Nausėda underscores the importance of collective defense for all Lithuanian citizens.
While Lithuania remains vigilant, there haven’t been notable changes in the regional security situation, according to Giedrius Valintėlis, head of the Lithuanian Armed Forces’ Strategic Communications Department.
Amid ongoing concerns, Gabrielius Landsbergis urges readiness for potential escalations in the region. The parade signifies solidarity and readiness while honoring the nation’s armed forces on this historic occasion.
